HOWTO Accurately Determine Bug Priorities

Simply wait until Friday afternoon, then close every bug WONTFIX.

The ones that people angrily reopen on Monday are the important ones.

  2. You know, you laugh at this, but if I was waiting for feedback from the bug reporter, I’d give them (well, Meg’s idea) warnings over a week saying the bug would be closed if we didn’t hear from them. Then after a week or so, we’d close them. The ones that were reopened were the important ones. Funnily enough, I think it was about a 50/50 reopen/kept close rate.
