TRON-ify Your OS X Terminal

Well, it turns out that The Grid runs on Solaris. But that doesn’t mean we Mac users can’t get in on the fun! Just download my TRON.terminal file, import it into your own Terminal, and you’re off to the races:

And yes, it isn’t very sophisticated. Remember that when it comes to visual design, I only received the standard sub-standard training.

  1. So, is the orange-and-blue thing shown here a screengrab of what your terminal looks like after applying your Tron settings?

  2. Yup!

  3. Playing with it now… I’m trying to figure out where the magenta and green in your sample came from. The orange is obviously stuff that would be bolded in my standard B/W terminal settings (I can see this comparing man-pages in a B&W window and the TRON-ified one).

  4. The TRON-ified screen only provides the blue (normal text) and orange (bolded text). The magenta and green come from the Sphinx build I was running — you would get those colors in any terminal.
