Eric is an expatriate -- we lost him to the siren song of LA. This is actually not such a bad move on his part. We here in the Bay Area should surpass Los Angeles shortly, as our traffic, smog, and hubris is worsening by the day.

Eric lives in Venice Beach, with two roomates, Lee and Eric. Lee, like Eric, is a lawyer. As for The Other Eric... I honestly don't remember what he does, exactly. I think it has something to do with media. Or writing. It's probably cooler than my job, anyway.

Their apartment is a few blocks from the ocean. And it's fairly clean, mostly because The Other Eric busts his ass scrubbing the floors with a toothbrush.

In a recent TV special on LA-area earthquakes, Eric discovered that should there be a tsunami off the coast, his apartment is in some serious danger. "Basically they showed a map of LA with a big red arrow pointing towards my house," he says. Let's all wish them luck...
